Annual Communication Fee - 2009

 

All clients that are monitored by our 24-hour monitoring centers throughout South Africa are due to pay an annual communication fee.

An amount of R133.00 excluding VAT will be invoiced on 1st October 2009 together with your monthly monitoring & response fee. If your account is settled by debit order this will be debited from your account on 1st October 2009. For those customers that pay by cheque or cash, please ensure that your payment reaches us by no later than 30 October 2009.

We are pleased to advise that the implementation of the R20million MASterMind monitoring software platform has been completed and has the following features available for our customers;

·         Automated Alarm Attendant.

The Automated Alarm Attendant is used to process lower priority alarm signal traffic such as mains failure & low battery signals. The system requires that our customers have a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that is loaded onto the customer’s profile in order to interact with the system. Upon receiving a call from the system the customer will be prompted to enter the PIN in order to acknowledge receipt of and or cancel the signal, if no PIN is received the system will forward the signal to an operator who will follow our standard operating procedures.

·         Smart Test

The system allows our customers to place their alarm systems on test by making use of a touch-tone phone. Upon using the system it will prompt the customer for a PIN, once entered the customer has a variety of choices in order to test their system. Dialing the system after the test has been completed will confirm what types of signals have been received during the test.

·         MASWeb

MASWeb allows 3rd party access into the MASterMind database via the Internet.  Customers are able to make changes to pre-arranged data fields, draw activity reports and inform Chubb when going on holiday etc. In order to make use of the above-mentioned facility a password is required.
