FM-200

With hundreds of thousands of systems installed in over 70 countries world wide, FM-200 is the most widely used Halon replacement. It provides rapid suppression with a short discharge time of typically 6 to 10 seconds. With a relatively small cylinder storage footprint, it is ideally suited to use in areas where space is at a premium or weight restrictions apply.Effective on Class A, B, and C fires, FM-200 extinguishes fires quickly through a combination of chemical interaction and physical heat removal. It does not smother flames by removing oxygen. FM-200 removes heat energy from fire, not oxygen from the environment. FM-200 absorbs heat from the flame zone and interrupts the chemical chain reaction of the combustion process. This agent has many similar characteristics to Halon 1301 and is safe in normally occupied areas.

Argonite

Argonite is an inert gas blend of argon and nitrogen, which occur naturally in the environment. With zero ODP, zero GWP and zero atmospheric lifetime, it has excellent environmental properties. It works by displacing oxygen and reducing it from the normal 21% to a level that will not support combustion. A typical design concentration of 40% will reduce the oxygen level to 12.5% within 60 seconds. The space requirement for inert gas storage cylinders is greater than that needed for chemical agents, although the latest systems with cylinder storage pressures of 300 bar offer significant space savings over equivalent 200 bar systems. The cylinders are mounted in rows and may be stored in any suitable location, even over 100 metres away from the protected areas.

Carbon Dioxide

Clean agent carbon dioxide systems, have been an industry standard for many decades and are still the preferred agent in many applications. It is a colourless, odourless, dry, inert gas and is one of the most well known of all fire extinguishant. Since it’s introduction it has safely extinguished more fires than any other gaseous agent. Highly versatile, it can be used for total flooding or in local application. Another big advantage is that it is relatively inexpensive, with CO2 readily available world wide for low-cost re-charge. CO2 occurs naturally in the environment and therefore has no restrictions on its use in fire fighting. While it is widely used in unmanned applications, it is also suitable for use in manned areas provided suitable safety measures are adopted. Carbon Dioxide

Vehicle Suppression Systems

Chubb Integrated Systems provide custom designed fire suppression system for large machinery which is normally used in the mining industry. These vehicles not only cost an enormous amount of money to build but the mines cannot afford to have these vehicles out of action for extended periods of time. Large machinery also requires a large amount of power to drive the units which creates a fire hazard. The suppression system which we offer are designed to detect a fire in its early stages and suppress the fire before any major damage occurs.

Evacuation/PA systems

Chubb Integrated Systems also provide state of the art computerized public address and evacuation systems for many of the large corporate companies. These systems are fully managed via a graphical user interface with built in pre-recorded messages which can be played when certain events occur such as fire alarms, critical building alarms, general messages, etc. The systems are designed with built-in redundancy which will automatically switch to a standby rack in the event of a failure.
