Contracts

Introduction


Provides that all products, Processes. Verification, Maintenance and Health and Safety activities are identified, planned, controlled and monitored to ensure the optimum utlilsation of the Company's resources, compliance to Customers requirements', conformance to regulatory/statutory standards.
 
The procedure is applicable to all Contracts obtained by the Company and the equipment utilised in servicing of products and applicable process activities.  

 

The Contracts Process

On receipt of the contract from sales, the Senior Contracts Manager is responsible for opening contract files and documenting all activities identified. They will then, in consultation with the Contracts Controller review all the requirements and establish the resources required in all the stages of the contract.
 
A request for drawings will be submitted to the Drawings Office. Drawings will then be supplied, and be reviewed and checked by the Contracts Controller or if contractually required by the Customer before commencement of work.
 
The Contracts Controller is responsible for initiating the procurement of equipment required and also ensuring all technical correctness, site details, etc. prior to authorising and releasing the purchase orders.
 
A Site Organogram will be generated, a copy of which will be given to the client. The Controller will comply with all supplied drawings, bills of material, contractual requirements and any applicable statutory regulations.
 
Additional controls may be initiated through the usage of Work Instructions Document and Data Control developed by the Managing Director/Senior Contracts Supervisor.
 
On completion of the contract the Contracts Controller will issue a Handover Certificate.
 
The Senior Contracts Manager or competent personnel are responsible for identifying the need for training considered to be essential to servicing personnel. These will be recorded on the Training Certificate.

Any internal training required by personnel will be in the form of group discussions and will be recorded on the Training Register.
